This guide on re-versioning (or sometimes called remixing) is intended to assist you (teachers) in making changes to Open Educational Resources (OER) you have acquired, so that such resources can be used in the context of your own teaching. It is rare that resources you have obtained are perfect in every way for a new learning context. It is possible that the language style is not suited for your students, and needs simplifying. Images that accompany a resource might need to be replaced with familiar local examples. It is also possible that not all of the resource is appropriate and so needs to be shortened or supplemented with additional information or activities. We might also need to change the sequence or order of presentation. We suggest that you have a notebook to hand, where you can write down notes from the guide, and answer some of the activities that we provide.
